League of Legends’ Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) is back for 2022. The first of two international events in League’s competition calendar will give fans a chance to see how each region shapes up before the World Championship. Here’s how you can watch MSI 2022, along with all the teams who have qualified so far.
- G2 Esports secure spot in Rumble Stage after strong Group C showing
- Istanbul Wildcats first team eliminated from MSI 2022
- Issues with Riot’s artificial ping inflation force RNG to replay their three opening games
Whether you consider it a meme or not, MSI 2022 will be a big event on the League of Legends calendar this year.
Heading to Busan, South Korea, 11 of the best teams in the world will fight it out in the first taste of international competition in Season 12. Reigning World Champions EDG will not be attending at the tournament, and neither will Worlds 2021 finalists Damwon Kia – guaranteeing a new international champion to kick off 2022.
This tournament sees a return of some of League’s most iconic names, with G2 Esports and T1 bearing the flag for Europe and Korea after notable absences from MSI 2021. Defending MSI champions RNG have also made it through in the LPL — however they’ll be playing remotely from Shanghai.

This year also sees the triumphant return of the VCS, who’ve been unable to attend an international tournament since 2019 due to ongoing travel restrictions in Vietnam.
All the participating teams have now arrived in Busan, and they’re tearing up Korean solo queue in preparation of what, for many players, will be the first LAN tournament of their career. We’ve got the streams, schedules, and standings available for you here – so sit back, and enjoy the ride that will be MSI 2022.
